SPEND a day enjoying the great outdoors on Mother's Day.
Hunter Valley Gardens at Pokolbin is rolling out the red carpet to treat mums to a special day of pampering and fun with the family on May 11."Hunter Valley Gardens will be spoiling mums on their special day with pamper zones where they can relax and enjoy themselves while the kids participate in their own fun-filled activities," Hunter Valley Gardens horticulturist Sean O'Brien said."All mothers who visit Hunter Valley Gardens will also receive a free potted chrysanthemum or scented soap and will have the chance to win some fabulous prizes."Activities on offer include a pamper zone, Mother's Day lunch, children's activities and plenty of giveaways.The pamper zone will give mum the chance to unwind in the women-only area where they will have their nails painted and receive a relaxing shoulder rub and hand massage.After her pampering session mum can enjoy a Mother's Day lunch at Hunter Valley Gardens.A two-course lunch will be held in the Garden Terrace Restaurant at noon overlooking the Oriental Garden, costing $35 for adults and $10 for children under 12.Bookings are essential and can be made on 4938 3518.Children will also have the opportunity to let loose with a range of activities including pony rides, face painting and a giant jumping castle.There are also plenty of prizes up for grabs when Hunter Valley Gardens hosts a free raffle for visitors on the day.The raffle will be drawn at 2pm with on-site winners having the chance to win beauty packs, day spa vouchers, a family photo shoot and more.Entry to the gardens costs $19.90 for adults, $11 for children between six and 12 years with entry free for children under five.For further information visit hvg.com.au or phone 4998 4000.The pamper zone will give mum the chance to unwind.
